Off Grid Solar System

Whether you’re in rural zones with an unstable electricity power grid, or you just want to live a more environmentally friendly and energy-independent lifestyle. Our off grid solar systems can provide the perfect solution.

Whether you’re in rural zones with unstable electricity power, or you just want to live a more environmentally friendly and energy-independent lifestyle. Our off grid solar systems provide the perfect solution. Off grid solar systems are standalone solar power that can provide grid like electricity to individuals who are:

  • Unable to gain access to electricity from the grid due to the absence of transmission lines (high capital investment and
    waiting period for electricity connection).
  • Unsatisfied with the high running cost of a GENSET (or a diesel generator).
  • Exploring alternate, clean, and energy-efficient pathways to power holiday homes while offsetting
    carbon footprints.
  • Not satisfied with the unreliable grid power.

How does an off Grid solar system work?

We at Solar Emporium take the utmost care to design off grid solar systems that give the customer impeccable cost savings and peace of mind. Our in-house engineers and designers analyse all the requirements set by the client and draw up an ideal solution.

Who does the Off Grid Solar System Work
  1. Solar Modules: Photovoltaic conversion converts solar energy into useable electricity (DC) in solar modules.
  2. PV Inverter: A solar inverter converts the DC power generated into AC for use in the home or to charge the battery bank.
  3. Charger Inverter: The charger inverter takes AC power and transforms it to DC, which may then be stored in batteries for later use.
  4. Battery Bank: Lithium-ion batteries are utilised to store the electricity generated from the modules for later use.

All the Components that Complete an Off Grid Solar System

All of these modules combined make up a solid off grid solar system. Here’s a brief explanation for your understanding-

Solar Panels

To harness the power of the sun you need a vessel, and in our case, that is solar panels. There are several kinds of solar panels, not to mention various brands. Solar emporium is providing all the major brands available in the Australian market.

Solar Inverter

The solar inverter transforms the direct current received by your solar panel array into the alternating current needed to power your gadgets and appliances. Among countless options, we recommend you to go for SMA or Fronius inverters. It’s an informed recommendation coming from our own off grid project experience. Nevertheless, it’s your call.

Solar Battery

Probably the most crucial part of the whole deal. So as to achieve a stand-alone power system you have to store energy generated by your panels in a battery unit to use it when solar panels are unable to provide.

We carefully choose Lithium-ion batteries with exceptional Depth of Discharge performance in order to maximise the battery’s cycle life resulting in greater peace of mind for our customers. Our recommendation coming from experience would be BYD batteries because of their exceptional performance in off-grid solar projects.

Charger Inverter

The charger inverter utilises the AC electricity and converts it into DC for storage in batteries for later use.

Power Generator

In the unfortunate event of your solar array not being able to provide you with sufficient energy, a power generator would be a solid backup plan. In the dead of winter, when solar generation is at its lowest, backup power sources come in useful.

Monitoring System

A monitoring system will tell you exactly how your entire system is performing. It is not a one size fits all case, rather a monitoring system is the user needs specific.

How does an off grid solar system work?

Here’s how we approach-

Step 1: Understanding Your Requirements

First and foremost, we calculate the possible load amount of your entire facility down to the smallest detail. We keep your current situation and future plans in mind at all times. Remember that, communication is the key, that’s why we make sure to fully understand your needs and expectations from your very own off-grid system so that we turn that into reality.

Step 2: Our Engineering Team Figures Out a Customised Solution for You

We have experienced in-house engineering team who will assess your property and needs to design a completely self-sustained off grid solar system.

Step 3: We Present You a Solar Design & Offer a Quote

After setting up a blueprint of the plan we will present the whole idea in its entirety and offer you a market competitive quote.

Step 4: Upon Agreement, We Proceed to Installation

If you like the presented plan, which we are sure you will, we will seal the deal and start the installation process.

Step 5: Post Installation Check-Ups

Unlike a lot of other installers, we don’t flee from our responsibilities. We will make sure you are comfortable all the way, and getting 100% out of your off-grid solar system.

Clean Energy Council Accredited Installer

It’s no news that you would have to go with a CEC (Clean Energy Council) accredited installer to get the most out of your system and enjoy all the additional benefits that the government offers. However, please be informed that to install an off-grid solar system, your chosen installer has to have accreditation that is distinctive to off-grid installation projects.

In simpler words, to install an off-grid solar system, installers must have a separate accreditation that is specific to off-grid projects ONLY.

And we are delighted to let you know that we are accredited by the CEC. Also, all the installers that work in our off-grid solar projects have accreditation that is specific to off-grid solar projects.

Act Fast! The Rebate Ends in 2030!

New off-grid solar system installations are currently eligible for the federal government’s Small Scale Technology Certificates (STCs). The CEC must authorize all equipment used in upgrading. STCs for a system are calculated from an estimate of the energy generation and can be deemed upfront for the entire remaining period of the scheme (ends in 2030).

We Are

An off-grid system backs you up when you live in a remote area.  And even if you don’t live in a remote area it will work like a safety net and back you up when any sort of natural disaster causes a power outage. You can surely think of it as an option. Don’t you think?
